How To Get Rid Of Laziness ?

Many times we get trapped by laziness . We just do not feel like doing anything , just sleep constantly for a longer duration and procrastinate . We also feel tired and inactive sitting at one place doing nothing .

Basically there are two kinds of laziness . The first one is when you have worked very hard for an entire week and just want to rest the entire weekend doing nothing feeling tired of the hard work done . The second one is when you do nothing and there is lack of motivation in you .

Over here I shall tell you how to get rid of the second type of laziness .

  1. ORGANIZE YOURSELF :

    • Your surroundings have a large impact on your laziness . If you have clutter of things around yourself , it can be a downside to your motivation . So it is better to organize and arrange everything that is messed up in your house and workplace so that you get some space to think about new things and tackle the neglected tasks .

  2. TARGET LIMITED TASKS AT A TIME :

    • If you target on two or three things at a time , your goals will look more achievable and you will enjoy your work . But if you make a huge list of tasks to accomplish , you might land up feeling devastated .

    • Example 1 : Get fit , learn to sing , finish an assignment .

    • Example 2 : Get fit , score well in school , finish assignment , learn singing , learn to play drums , write a book .

    • From the above two examples , the second one has too many things to do one after the other , in turn making it difficult for you to accomplish them leading to laziness .

  3. LIST DOWN THE BENEFITS OF ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS :

    • After taking a note of the tasks you want to accomplish , they will not be completed miraculously if you do not make an attempt to do so . In order to make or start an attempt , list down the importance and benefits of those tasks . Doing so will give you motivation to start and finish them faster because you will know how beneficial it is going to be for you .

  4. TELL YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN DO IT :

    • Making up your mind strong can have a drastic change . You will be filled with positive energy and your intensity of working will speed up . You will be filled up with motivation and have fun doing it .

    • In case , if you are stuck somewhere , instead of just sitting and feeling disappointed , try to jump to another task and finish that first . Later on , you can again switch to the pending one and finish it .

  5. EXERCISE :

    • Any form of exercise will make you feel energized . If you do not have much time in hand , at least exercise for 15-20 minutes in a day . It will increase your metabolism and blood circulation . Exercise has other countless benefits too . Your diet will also improve and you will feel rejuvenated and active throughout the day . Your body will feel energized and you will not feel lazy .

  6. REWARD YOURSELF :                                                                                     reward

    • Once you accomplish one of your goals that you were trying hard for , do reward yourself for it . See to it that the reward is simple and effective . For example : Go on a movie , go out to some good restaurant , etc . Rewards will make your mind more active and you will feel like working more in order to achieve it .

  7. LEARN TO ASK FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED :

    • It is not necessary that a you will know each and everything . There will be cases when one gets stuck in a task . In such a situation , instead of just sitting you can ask someone who is proficient at it and tell them to help you out . By doing so , you will learn something new and your goals will be accomplished sooner .

  8. DO NOT GIVE UP :

    • Things get tough at times and you may also feel frustrated to leave it . But you need to stay motivated always . Always remember that there are obstacles in everything you do and you have to overcome them . You are not alone , there are many other people who face problems even bigger than ours , but still they overcome them .

    • Always remind yourself how badly you want to achieve your goals , ask someone if you need help , also remember the importance , benefits and satisfaction you will get after finishing the task . YOU GOT THIS !! YOU CAN AND YOU WILL FINISH IT !!
